My Favorite Quotes

One of my favorite things to read are quotes. I love everything about them. They turn the hardest concepts to understand into something very physical and easy to grasp. I had to research and write some famous quotes for a school project late into the second semester this past school year, and these are some quotes I found and fell in love with along with some of my favorite Bible verses.

“An eye for an eye makes the world go blind.”  – Gandhi

***

“It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.”  – Aristotle

***

“There is no great genius without some touch of madness.”  – Aristotle

***

“God has given us two hands: one to receive with and the other to give with. We are not cisterns made for hoarding, we are channels made for sharing.”  – Billy Graham

***

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”  – Martin Luther King Jr.

***

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”  – Martin Luther King Jr.

“Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools speak because they have to say something.”  – Plato

***

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it, but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.” – 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

Thanks for reading, and comment with some of your favorite quotes. Have a great day!

Love from the Library,

Aria
